Additional Info on McClure-Kelly Family

By Pamela Pattison Lash (updated 13 July 2011)

Recently I was contacted by a McClure researcher on the James and Harriet McClure family and their son Samuel Edward McClure.  Mother and Father James and Harriet divorced twice and son Samuel Edward divorced once in Williams Co, OH.  "Eddie" went on to marry Carrie Kelly whose family also lived in Williams County.  Here is more information on the McClure-Kelly family.

On 1 Apr 1845 James McClure married Harriet McHaffie, d/o Stephen and Eliza McCullough McHaffie

No Divorce - Newspaper Notice, Boisher

I stumbled upon this notice, which usually signifies an impending divorce action; however, this couple never made such action in the Williams County Common Pleas Court so it appears that all has been forgiven.  The census records and other references, that I found, back up this statement.
